In the field of Education since 1961, apart from the KTI’s network of technical vocational institutes, Kohinoor Group runs the Kohinoor Global campus at Khandala, a multiple course residential complex that provides world class hospitality and business education through the Kohinoor- IMI school of Hospitality Management and the Kohinoor Business School. Kohinoor Education Trust, one of the Group entities at the forefront of higher education, runs Kohinoor Management School and Kohinoor Business School at Kurla in Mumbai to deliver AICTE approved and Mumbai university affiliated post-graduate programs in management. At the Kohinoor Education Complex in Kurla, Mumbai, Kohinoor last year made its entry into K-12 school education through the Kohinoor International School and its pre- school, the Kohinoor Blossoms.
From small restaurants to banquet facilities, Kohinoor Group has a food service and hospitality business spread across Mumbai. Dr Manohar Gajanan Joshi, a true leader and a legend, whose rise from humble beginnings has inspired scores of Indians. In the year1961 he founded the Kohinoor Group, and with sheer hard work, dedication and unique business acumen he has taken the group to great heights. Now with his son Unmesh Joshi at the helm of the Group, he plays the role of a mentor and continues to inspire employees and associates through his simplicity, dedication to social good and hard work.
Shri. Unmesh Manohar Joshi: architect, entrepreneur and educationist. Qualified as a professional architect, he has achieved rapid recognition as a sound entrepreneur straddling Real Estate, Education, Hospitality and Healthcare while growing investments in each of the sectors steadily over the last two decades. His passion to innovate in everything he associates himself with is reflected in the many ”Firsts“ that the Kohinoor Group has achieved in each of its activities, be it Real Estate, Education, Hospitality or Healthcare.
Mr. Makarand Vagaskar, presently the COO at KTI joined the Kohinoor Group as General Manager (Information Resources & Planning) in 2012. In 2014, he was elevated as Vice President – Program Management at KTI and in this position, he was responsible for streamlining the academic processes for the vocational courses offered. With a strong grip over IT and management both, he has more than 25 years of experience to back his portfolio. The 25 years’ journey involved working in various functions ranging from ERP implementations to handling production planning and supply chain processes.
He has handled various portfolios like Business Strategy, Corporate Communications, Software Product Development etc. and continues to innovate and create successful strategies for his company. He has done his post-graduation from Jamnanlal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and his graduation in Electrical Engineering from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute.
Mr Vivek Chandane heads the Franchisee & Government Alliances with KTI. He has graduated in Commerce and completed Diploma in Business Management. He holds a total experience of 35 years. His strengths are Operations, Government Alliances and Business Development. He has worked on various Govt. Projects and is also a working chairman of ITI under PPP scheme in ex-officio capacity. He started his career as Faculty with KTI and scaled new heights over the years.
Ms. Chhaya Khedkar heads the Business Excellence and Paramedical Divisions at KTI. She completed her graduation in Science along with Post Graduation in Business Administration. She is undergoing a Ph.D. in Skill Education. She has 28 years of enormous experience, her core expertise is Operation, Business Development , Brand Development, implementation of Quality management system and Inter Departmental Quality Audits. She is a certified Lead Auditor working across various areas like Academics and Government Alliances. Being a successful Trainer and Guide for ISO 9001 certification makes her dynamic and diverse personality.
Mr. Vishal Thorat heads the CSR Operations. He has completed his Diploma in Electronics & Hardware Networking and has a total of 13 years of experience in Sales & Operations. He has scaled his way up from Branch head to Regional Manager and has gained a rich experience of the vocational education business. He has worked in the field of training for Hardware & Networking for 6 yrs. He has also worked in Rural Development Sector for Skilling and has a proven track record of developing new business models and motivating his team members to consistently exceed their targets.
Mr Abhijit Khachane leads the Program Design & Delivery function at KTI. He is also heading the Corporate Alliances function for partnering with likeminded organizations for furthering Skills Training. He is responsible for Curriculum and Content development as well as the quality and effectiveness of Training Delivery at KTI. In his ex-officio capacity, he is the Chairman for IMC at ITI, Rahuri. He has completed his PGDM in Operations Management. He has a total experience of 19 years in the field of planning and execution of various educational and community development projects along with conducting Quality Audit Management
Mr. Ganesh Raghatwan heads the Placement Department for KTI both for the Technical and Paramedical courses. He has done his graduation in Commerce and has a total experience of 18 years. He started his career as a Training & Placement officer and has worked on various government and CSR projects. His strengths are industry connect, conducting campus drives and job fairs and business development through placement opportunities.
Mrs. Sneha Kamthe, presently the Senior Regional Manager at KTI joined KTI as a Branch Manager (Operations) in 2007. In 2009, she was promoted as Regional Manager - Operations and in this position, she was responsible for the Administration, Planning and Monitoring of processes of regional branches. At present she is responsible for the entire P&L line of the branches under her region. With a strong grip and core expertise in Operations and Strategic Planning she contributes to the growth of her region as well KTI as a business. She has more than 27 years of experience to back her portfolio. She has done her Masters in MA Economics and MBA with specialization in HR. She has also completed her post-graduation in B.Ed. and GDC&A. She has been awarded the First Rank in University of Pune for her final academic year in BA – Economics.
Mr. Sanket Vaity has completed his Post Graduation in Law after obtaining his Bachelors in Arts. His core strength are Sales and Operations. He has a strong focus on relation building and connecting with new people. He has built a strong industry connect over the 14 years of his service in the Vocational Training space. He started his career with Kohinoor as a Counselor and steadily rose in position through his commitment and out-of-the-box sales strategies.
